Description
This was a treasure we found while out riding on a photo shoot, on our mopeds one day,
We concentrated on nothing but barns, outbuildings, machinery, machine sheds, old tractors, and anything else pertaining to oldie but goodie farms of the past within our area.
Many of these farms belonged to our ex students and their families, as when we first started teaching, my wife and I, that is, it was back in the 60's.
Agriculture was a big thing, made up of many small farms. Not, like the big thing we have today, with commercial farms.
Memories of old remembered and never lost, as it taught values of work ethics, which seem to be disappearing in our youth today, and pride of accomplishment.
These youngsters would work till dark and beyond, get up to do homework, and chores, and still attend school. Some even participated in extra curricular activities, if they were allowed to. The old days may linger, and while some enjoyed them greatly, I suppose change is inevitable, just don't like most of it, personally.
This one is for the oldies but goodies, who appreciated the farmers of the past, and those still trying to be part of our FFA or future farmers of America! May God bless you in your efforts!

I agree, Randy - this is a treasure. I like that you included the red bush in your image - it sets off the barn beautifully. L

Thanks much, Doug. I watch a lot of building shows and the sliding barn door idea is even being used on homes, and even on the inside. Looks great and is very useful. Thank you very much for visiting my galleries and commenting on this shot, as I truly appreciate your time and support for my work, the work of our fine group of artists in the WFS group, and to all artists of FAA. It is truly appreciated, and welcomed! Randy B. Rosenberger (admin of WFS group)

Outstanding find and capture, Randy, another sturdy iconic symbol of Rural America! ILove the stone foundation and the old weathered wood—perfectly matching the interlocking roof shingles. I find it interesting that sliding barn doors are making a comeback inside newly remodeled homes. ((-: L&F

Awesome capture, Randy as I have the honor and privilege to PIF in the group and share this amazing "Those Days Of Old" barn imagery. We have the same tastes in historical restored buildings & barns I believe since this piece really called out to me the most to be posted. Well done. Voted & Fav
