Description
This was a photo taken at the Rural, WI Historical Walk Venue, held a couple of weeks ago, in Rural, Wisconsin, and most of the homes built there, along the beautiful Crystal River, are from the Civil War era! Many of the buildings have been in ancestory for many decades! This was a photo taken of one of the barns and what caught my eye, mostly, was the antiquated look to the design of this building. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks so much for visiting my gallery and for your encouraging comments on my work. Both your encouragement and your visits are always very welcome. Randy B. Rosenberger admin of WFS group PS I suppose you have noticed the problems that FAA is experiencing with pics not showing up on homepages and even on discussion tabs. I contacted tech support several times, and they are aware of the problem. Other administrators are also experiencing the same situation. While they say it takes 24 to 48 hours, I believe it has been much longer that this has existed. Hopefully they will have this mega problem fixed soon. Have a great day!

What a magnificent capture of this fantastic barn, Randy! It's wonderful to see that someone cares so much about this treasure to take such good care of it! L/F

Thanks much Doug, as I like to preserve in photography things of the past that are slowly decaying into their final demise. Some people keep them up and restore them, but there are only a few, and this is one that has been very well kept.

A Rare Rural Relic Randy! I Love the details this old barn wears around its upper windows and silo. Disappearing landmarks, in such fine condition as this one, are sadly becoming farther and fewer between… Great that you thought to photograph and preserve this one! L&F

Sandra, THIS was taken in a small rural town near us, that was mostly built during the US Civil War, and one man returned from the war and finished his already started home. It was a real treasure to view and see and talk about.
