Artist's Description
This is of a prime example of a totally, frame off, restoration of a Studebaker Champion from the early 50's. It is being shown at the IoLa Old Car Show, which is the largest car show in the Midwest. This one was in the front "lobby" of all show cars, and received high accolades as being, "off the show room floor" condition!
While they were somewhat predisposed with negative comments on their appearance, at times, they were very well built. A "rocket car" or "bullet car" as they were often referred to, was a dream of the automaker, and although his true dreams of exuberance didn't pay off on this beauty, as much he had wished, it had its "hey day"! Hope you enjoy this imagery of this "Baker"!

As a retired teacher, having taught for 35 years, I spend a lot of time in our many flower gardens, with water features, metal sculptures, and many flowering trees, bushes and shrubs. My wife gave me a digital camera for a Christmas present a few years ago, and I started taking photos of the many types of flora and fauna on our property. This became an enjoyable hobby for me, to enjoy the outdoors, and capture some of the beautiful photo opportunities that our gardens have provided. I especially love close-ups of flowers and insects, and basically anything that has something unique to capture on film.
