This was a shot taken of some black-eyed Susans against a hug rock ledge, and I liked the composition and color and contrast of textures, so I had to shoot it! Love the colors of these florals and the sun glare from the surruounding rock surfaces, seemed to lighten the yellow of the florals. Hope you like the results.
As a retired teacher, having taught for 35 years, I spend a lot of time in our many flower gardens, with water features, metal sculptures, and many flowering trees, bushes and shrubs. My wife gave me a digital camera for a Christmas present a few years ago, and I started taking photos of the many types of flora and fauna on our property. This became an enjoyable hobby for me, to enjoy the outdoors, and capture some of the beautiful photo opportunities that our gardens have provided. I especially love close-ups of flowers and insects, and basically anything that has something unique to capture on film.
