Artist's Description
This photo was taken at the Iola Historical Society "village" complete with restored village hall, one room school house, depot, rails and caboose, and an new but patterned after antiquated fire house! They have several oldies here, of which this is one, Not the oldest, as the oldest is horse drawn! This one is motorized. I was in a parade once with a friend who was a Fire Chief in Des Plaines, IL, and his dog, Sparky and later, his dog Cinder rode with us on his totally restored antique fire truck. What a ride! Lots of good memories, as he has since passed away! Loved Sparky!
About Randy Rosenberger
As a retired teacher, having taught for 35 years, I spend a lot of time in our many flower gardens, with water features, metal sculptures, and many flowering trees, bushes and shrubs. My wife gave me a digital camera for a Christmas present a few years ago, and I started taking photos of the many types of flora and fauna on our property. This became an enjoyable hobby for me, to enjoy the outdoors, and capture some of the beautiful photo opportunities that our gardens have provided. I especially love close-ups of flowers and insects, and basically anything that has something unique to capture on film.
