This was taken in a small memorial park in Waupaca County, Wisconsin,USA. I found it unique, as the entire hillside was made up of many protrusions are large rocks, as if a large wall of rocks were coming through the hillside. All amongst the rocks and cascading down the rocky slopes were many areas of beautiful florals, ferns, colorful foliage, and statuary. This also had a waterfall coming down then steep slope. Very lovely and peaceful place to rest.
As a retired teacher, having taught for 35 years, I spend a lot of time in our many flower gardens, with water features, metal sculptures, and many flowering trees, bushes and shrubs. My wife gave me a digital camera for a Christmas present a few years ago, and I started taking photos of the many types of flora and fauna on our property. This became an enjoyable hobby for me, to enjoy the outdoors, and capture some of the beautiful photo opportunities that our gardens have provided. I especially love close-ups of flowers and insects, and basically anything that has something unique to capture on film. I have entered several contests in our area, and even won some recognition with my photos. I have posted on Face Book and am now...
