As a retired teacher, having taught for 35 years, I spend a lot of time in our many flower gardens, with water features, metal sculptures, and many flowering trees, bushes and shrubs. My wife gave me a digital camera for a Christmas present a few years ago, and I started taking photos of the many types of flora and fauna on our property. This became an enjoyable hobby for me, to enjoy the outdoors, and capture some of the beautiful photo opportunities that our gardens have provided. I especially love close-ups of flowers and insects, and basically anything that has something unique to capture on film. I have entered several contests in our area, and even won some recognition with my photos. I have posted on Face Book and am now...

The spider and the bee together made this look like an other-worldly creature, till I read the description.

Thanks much, Phyllis, as I found this to be one remarkable little arachnid, and while being toxic, if bitten, it may cause some reaction, but usually nothing fatal. Glad to hear that, as we have them in our gardens and are in the gardens all spring up till fall.

Thanks much, Bob and Nancy, as I appreciate your votes and your wonderful and insightful comments. I didn't realize, when working within my floral gardens that this little yellow guy is poisonous, maybe not enough for fatality, but as much or more than a bee sting, which I am allergic too. So, needless to say, I am much more careful now, in weeding and handling plants. LOL
