This is a photo of a well maintained farm, and its well maintained barn and silo, in Portage County, Wisconsin. I especially like the "Short" silo, as usually they are not below of the peak of the barn roof, but above it! Very unique site to view on a countryside trip.
As a retired teacher, having taught for 35 years, I spend a lot of time in our many flower gardens, with water features, metal sculptures, and many flowering trees, bushes and shrubs. My wife gave me a digital camera for a Christmas present a few years ago, and I started taking photos of the many types of flora and fauna on our property. This became an enjoyable hobby for me, to enjoy the outdoors, and capture some of the beautiful photo opportunities that our gardens have provided. I especially love close-ups of flowers and insects, and basically anything that has something unique to capture on film.
