This was on a very hot day last summer, and while mopeding, we paused to refresh ourselves at Brainard's Bridge Park, and from the walkway this was a scene I capture, without the people cooling off in the downstream section of the river. Refreshing stop, and was cooled off even by the view of this cascade of water of the rocks.
As a retired teacher, having taught for 35 years, I spend a lot of time in our many flower gardens, with water features, metal sculptures, and many flowering trees, bushes and shrubs. My wife gave me a digital camera for a Christmas present a few years ago, and I started taking photos of the many types of flora and fauna on our property. This became an enjoyable hobby for me, to enjoy the outdoors, and capture some of the beautiful photo opportunities that our gardens have provided. I especially love close-ups of flowers and insects, and basically anything that has something unique to capture on film.
