Description
This is a photo of a very old farm, with its old barn and antique silo, made of wooden staves. It will be torn down soon, so wanted to capture the old, before anything new took its place. This is located near Scandinavia, WI

The people that owned this property are deceased, and they bestowed upon the community, the buildings and about 60 acres of land overlooking, "Silver Lake", which is a beautiful spot to enjoy! The plans of the community is to make a trail and a rest stop on the property to venture along and enjoy, and they ARE keeping the old barn and silo, which was up for possible "tear down". Am very happy to see the preservation ideals of the community! I truly and respectfully appreciate your nice comment and taking the time to view and comment on this piece. It is inspiring to see your awesome support,

Both the color version and this black and white are marvelous, Randy. I think this just edges out the color version because the black and white adds to the old look:>) V/F

They tore the old farmhouse down a week ago, so am glad I captured this, as its future may be looking glum. Or, they may recharge it and use it for a shelter along the trail by the lake. I hope so, as I do hate to see this history just destroyed. Thanks for your supportive comment, Nina, as it means a lot!
