Description
This sculpture, was from a collection owned by a friend, and I decides to place it one driftwood, and then found out how expensive the dragon was, and was almost afraid to place and shoot it, but then found out how expensive the piece of driftwood is, and it was worth more than the dragon! LOL Most places it is illegal to take driftwood, at least in Wisconsin and I believe now in most states. Why, I have no idea, as if lying on the beach, why not? But laws are laws, dragons are mythical beasts, and driftwood is Verboten to confiscate from the water or shore in most places i have seen. Too bad, as I think they make a nice combo!

I never thought of dragons being cute but this little guy certainly is! Love the placement on the driftwood (and the story.)

Excellent image, Randy! I am at a loss to understand your law about driftwood. It seems crazy to me! The wood is biodegradable, so I see no environmental threat there. During the Great Depression and the two World Wars poor families often used to go to the beach looking for driftwood to use as fuel, if they could not afford coal for their fires.
