Description
This was a photo shot taken of a farm, still standing, but now a part of the Village of Iola, WI. Which, at one time was mostly farmland. It is now an integral part of the small community. I like the old, mixed with the new. This was taken, as it resonates a blast from the past, when "kick the can" was the rage, and not "Unknown Warriors" on computers. It was a time of hard work, relaxing after the hard work, with family time, not individual preferences, such as one going here, one going there, and nobody around to talk to. It was a time when life was hard, but more simplistic! It was a time for families to "Bond" and not watch James Bond movies. It was a time of loving and caring and sacrifice and yes, exalted existence! Loved these times, and even though things must change, let's clamor around those reminders of the sweet past we have all endured and come through with wisdom, love, concern for others, and the perpetual dreams we all had. This is what the memories bring back for me and so, so many of my cronies.

Randy, I like your perspective, the brickwork in the silo, and the moral of the story in your description!

Beautiful find and capture, Randy. I love finding "art" in the functional world. That this barn / silo was so beautiful tells me that the farming family who built it had an artistic side!!! Love. And I love the words in your description and do remember the old days that you describe. l/f and t and p
